Elegant night is not Gala night

I just want to pass this on to Costa cruisers as there are quite a few people who get confused over Elegant night. A few men in suits and tuxedos and their partners in their gala wear were walking around thinking it was Gala night. 

I spoke to reception in the afternoon to check if it was Gala or not and was told “No madam - Gala night is in 2 days time”

I don’t know what it’s all about - maybe they’re trying to get the vest and shorts people to smarten up? 😐

I suspect they're trying to sell more photography.

As to vest and shorts- as I write this, there's a "cruise pix" adjacent, of a guy, probably drunk, flopped in a seat with his feet in the air, which I don't think is Costa.
