You go through security before check-in counter, no security after. Only employees at entrance to gangway from both B and C .

Ewwwhhh... I seeeee. I guess I’ll have to sweet talk the guard if we’re in different terminals then. I would be pretty surprised if they turned me down as I will be accompanying a senior (able-bodied, but still).

Be prepared to be turned down.

I am not sure about US laws, but If I am acting as a senior’s escort, Wouldn’t it be illegal to turn me away?

In my country, that would be against human rights and be a major lawsuit.

First, if you actually are a senior's escort then you would have registered as such with NCL's Access Desk prior to the cruise. As the Access Desk handles all matters relating to accessibility, arrangements would have been made in advance for you to check in together. This is not something that you arrange at the door to the terminal.

Second, if you actually are a senior's escort, then you really should either be a) booked into the same room as the senior who requires an escort, or b) booked into an adjoining room on the same floor as the senior who requires an escort. In either case, there would be no issue as you would both be assigned to the same terminal for boarding based on your room location.

I can't imagine a "major lawsuit" where you would stand in a courtroom and try to explain to the judge that you are the escort for a senior, but somehow you didn't even bother to book yourself on the same floor as the senior who requires your services. What good is having an escort on a different floor???

thank you for that info @seashark. I will call the access desk Monday and make an informal request to see if we can get our terminals and muster stations linked. Even though she is an able-bodied senior, it sounds like that department would have the best knowledge of how to ensure we are at least not separated. I may not be an official “carer” (as they’re called in the British-English countries of the world like mine) and I think there’s rationale for us not to be separated. Especially if it comes to mustering, as I wouldn’t trust anyone to escort her safely off the ship other than me.

really, I expected more support from people on this board over this issue. How would you feel if you were separated from elderly family members traveling alone? Sympathy for that situation is a no-brainer here

What kind of support are you looking for?  Questions were asked and answered.  No one gave you any grief.  I have personally seen people not allowed access to a terminal they were not assigned to.  The elderly guest will be well taken care of and if she is of clear head and sound health as you indicated I don't see any problem.

Sea Shark gave you good advice regarding the Access Desk.

Sailed on the Bliss 12/1. Two-thirds of our group were on odd decks, with my parents staying on an even deck. Since they were in charge for the expenses of me and my brother, pier staff allowed them to check-in with us. We had to wait a bit since their cards were in the other terminal, but there were no other issues.

It was not a problem at all. We all went to the same terminal (whichever one was on the left) and they took us all and asked no questions at all. It only took two or three minutes for them to get our cards. It was truly one of the smoothest check-ins ever.

Incorrect. You go through the ship’s security checkpoint to scan onto the ship. They are located in the terminal beyond the waiting area doors,,, but before the gangway.

It it is hard to meet up before security and the gangway. Once you exit the terminal waiting area, the port staff will be pushing you to keep moving and not clog up the walkway.

Stand corrected , forgot about that security point.

However the point I was referencing was a pax getting past whomever is checking docs for entrance to B or C terminal.

They  do a really good job of "watching " which embarkation terminal you are suppose to go to. After that it becomes a mute point about inside the terminal.
