Hello!

Can I have some advice about the best way for one person transport to my cruise  with Anthem 21th December from Union Square?

I understand that it's a grindlock day and Uber is not a good option and thinking of trying public transport.

Thanks Lena Sweden

The public transit route would be to take PATH from 14th & 6th to Hoboken (train is marked "Hoboken", the Hudson-Bergen light rail to 34th St in Bayonne (train is marked 8th St Bayonne), and Uber into the port.  The 14th Street PATH station does not have elevators.  If carrying your luggage down steps into the PATH station is an issue, post back for alternate accessible suggestions.  The "outbound" trip on a Friday morning will be uncrowded, so you should be able to get a seat on both PATH and the light rail. The rest of the trip is "accessible".  Hoboken Terminal is a historic train station with very nice views of lower Manhattan.

PATH costs $2.75/pp

Carrying my luggage is not a big issue, so this will be perfect.

Great!  Stairs are an issue on PATH at Christopher, 8th, 14th, 23rd, and Harrison.  All the other stations are accessible.  The light rail is surface transportation with raised street platforms accessible via ramps.  It will cost you $5 plus an Uber into the port of about $10.  I am a solo traveler as well and usually take PATH and, light rail, and Uber/Taxi to the port.

Just in case here are the Bayonne Cab company numbers:

Bayonne City Yellow Cab
201-339-5000

Archie’s Cab & Van Service
201-858-8800

Campbell Taxi
201-339-8300
