Runde Island Boat Trip

I am going on my first cruise in May 2019 and we stop in Alesund for a day but it is not long enough to get to Runde Island and back even if I were to rent a car. There is a company called 62nord who offer a boat trip from Alesund but it will not yet be running. I could book a private tour but it is very expensive for just 2 people. Does anyone know of a different way to get there? Or how I can find out who else on my cruise may be interested?

We are doing a Norway cruise in June and I don't have an answer to your excursion question since we are DIYing it in Alesund.  But I can answer your last question:  in the Roll Calls Section on the main menu page (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/), click on your cruise line, then click on your ship, and finally look for a thread that starts with your embarkation date.  Fellow passengers on your cruise use that thread to discuss excursions, etc.  Just introduce yourself and post your Runde Island question!
