Moray Firth Cruiser Posted November 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Does anyone know how the theatre boxes on the Queen Victoria are numbered? The reason I ask is to enable me to request a particular box when making a theatre booking.
luckymal Posted November 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2018 Have no fear, wait till you are on ship, go to the Pursers Desk and book the box you would like. Have cruised many times on the Queen Victoria and have never seen them full.😉
Bigmike911 Posted November 23, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2018 There are only a few, I think four boxes that can be reserved, and only on special nights. They are reserved by visiting the purser or the Grills concierge in the Grills lounge. There is an additional charge for reserving the boxes (I believe $45 or $ 50 per person) on the specified nights, but they come with complementary Champagne, and before the performance you are invited to a special area where canapes and chocolates are served. All of the other boxes are first come first served.
luckymal Posted November 23, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 23, 2018 All boxes are available for hire if needed.😉
FloatSome & JetSome Posted November 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 24, 2018 Here is a picture of the theater on QV that I took prior to the refit. (I don’t believe it was any different subsequently.) If memory serves me, the boxes on the left are odd numbers and the ones on the right side of the picture are even. Box #1 is on the lower tier to the left of the center loge, #2 on the right and so on. Our preferred boxes were #5 or #6 and the Grills Concierge will reserve them for you onboard. Enjoy the show! I was onboard Queen Victoria the day she sailed and had the opportunity during some free time, from filming, to take the odd photo. I hope these help answer your question... ...and this one from the first, and highest, of the boxes...
