We got our upgrade confirmed from a Jr. Suite to an Owners Suite 44 days ahead of our sailing on Oasis of the Seas.  I was shocked because there were no suites showing as being available for weeks.  Can't wait to see it.  We sail on March 15.

Great news!  you will enjoy the suite amenities!  we really like the suite lounge, coastal kitchen, reserved seating at shows etc.  Enjoy  maybe people are canceling due to the corona virus

We received two Royal Up emails for feb 9 & now today a Royal Up bid for the 16th.  Have no intention to bid on either

one.  In a GS on the 8th deck midship right where we want to be.  Will let someone else have it.

Can't wait to board in 4 days.

They must do batches - our cruise is April 4th on Symphony (59 days out) and I received a Royal Up email this morning, accepting bids for 2 bedroom Grand Suite, Owner's Suite, Crown Loft Suite, 1 and 2 bedroom Aquatheater suites, Star Loft suite, and the 4 bedroom Villa Suite (we're in a 1 bedroom grand suite). Pretty sure all of these have been sold out for months, though. Is there always a set group you can upgrade to based on what you book? Someone in our group said they received an email offering different types of balcony rooms (they booked a central park balcony).

Yes there is a set group of upgrade categories based on your current category

We sail March 8 on harmony of the seas.  We put in bids for several options... fingers crossed we get one of them!  (But I'm not holding my breath.)  I'm totally jealous of those of you that know over 30 days out what your cabin will be like!  Hopefully I'll still have fingernails left by the time we cruise.... the wait is killing me!

We got our Royal Up email last week for our Harmony sailing on March 1. We however have cabins together on the Boardwalk and didn't want to end up with something not together.  If it had just been my husband and I, I might have considered the oceanview balconies that were offered.  We had I think 3 different ocean view balconies and then also the Junior Suite.  The junior suite was $400 PP minimum, which was just too much for us.  The lowest minimum bid on the balcony cabins was $150 PP.  Maybe sometime in the future I would be able to book another.  Really would love to do a suite but they are so out of our range.

I haven’t gone through the total 178 pages so I apologize if this is mentioned somewhere.
How does Royal up work if you have a party of 5? We are all booked in a ultra spacious oceanview. So we are in the same cabin but they have one kid with a separate confirmation number because they said the system limits them to 4 per room.
Would we just not be able to participate in bidding?

Sailing on Anthem this March and bid from a junior suite with large balcony to an Owners suite. Bid was accepted yesterday.
Kind of cool because with all my NCL cruises I never once bid so this was my first time and it was accepted pretty early.
One thing I noticed from the day I bid was the OS stayed at the top of the page even though I bid a little higher on the 2BR GS & that was the cabin that was accepted.

Curious, was the OS bid the first you made? I have 4 bids out and the one up top never changes

I just revised my post. I just looked at original email and the OS was listed higher then the 2BR even though they had the same minimum and maximum bids amounts.

Sorry for the confusion.

I would be very cautious and only bid on cabins that you know for certain can hold 5 such as a two bedroom GS.  I don’t trust that the company running the upgrade bids would know about that  second reservation and they may only see that you have 4 people.

Darn.  I'm on Anthem in a JS in three weeks, and haven't heard anything.  The cruise doesn't show up on any of the cruise booking sites anymore, so I'm guessing it might be sold out.   But I'm also solo (about to be Diamond Plus), which may make a difference in how they consider or weigh bids.   I always put in  mid-range fair" Royal-Up bids, but none of them have ever been accepted by RCL.  I keep trying  LOL.  Anyway...congratulations Casino Comp Chick!!

I'm surprised you've already heard back.... I'm on the cruise before you that leaves March 22...... I haven't heard anything. I know the week I'm going is absolutely sold out.... they said Max capacity ..... so I'm sure there aren't very many rooms unoccupied.

Do you know if your cruise is sold out as well? I know these 2 weeks are heavy "spring break" weeks here in the midwest  where I'm from

We were in the Owners suite on Anthem in Oct/Nov.  Beautiful, spacious room.  Loved it.
