gcrackr Posted January 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2006 Not sure when/where you are sailing from, but on the 01/07/06 sailing from San Juan, we sailed at 11:00 PM with earliest boarding at 1:00 PM, with everyone on board by 9:00 PM (even thought ship did not sail till 11:00PM
Dave Hansen Posted January 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted January 18, 2006 Val & Gerry, A good question. When Boarding officially starts at 100PM, unofficially it always starts from one to one & a half hours sooner. We are always fanatical about boarding as early as possible. Happy Sailing Dave Hansen You can find me on the Golden Princess board for the 2-18-06 sailing.
Dgonza Posted February 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2006 I have a question. We are departing at 11pm from San Juan on March 25, 2006. Our flight doesnt get in until 830pm. Are we going to have enough time to be onboard by 9pm? What if we are running late? Will they deny us boarding? Thanks for any help.
Christine Cruisin Posted February 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2006 IMO you are cutting it very close. What if your plane is delayed (not of course that ever happens!). I'd check with Princess. I always like to arrive a day before just to be safe.
Dave Hansen Posted February 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Christine is right, you need to get to San Juan much much earlier. A day earlier whould be ideal. If you absolutely have to leave the day of boarding get the earliest flight out. A direct flight is also ideal. Let me know how it works out. You'll find me on the Golden Princess Boards for 2/18/06 and 2/25/06. Dave Hansen
Dgonza Posted February 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Ok, but heres the deal. I already have my flight booked. My question is are the cruiselines adament about everyone being on board by 9pm? This has been a rough vacation from the start. Starting with the ta (ocity.com) then the break up with the g/f, then jumping through hoops for cancelling flights and buying a new one so my new travel companion (sister) can accompany me. Having to get a travel voucher and paying the cancellation fees etc.... Airlines wont let you change name of passengers and keep same flights. on and on and on!! So that being said our flight gets into Sju at 8:34 are we going to be denied boarding if we get to the ship at 9:10 or so?? Thanks for the suggestions by the way. I will definitely keep that in mind if/when I take my 2nd cruise.
