NEW Halong International Cruise Port

The new cruise port opened today and Celebrity Millennium was the first to dock there. No more tenders!

We are going in October on the Azamara Quest and are scheduled to tender.  I hope this changes as we are doing an overnight junk on our own on Bhaya Premium and I was concerned a little on logistics.

You should now dock at the new port. It holds 2 ships at a time...

Do you happen to know if this new cruise terminal and dock is near or convenient to Tuan Chao, where the junk boats dock?

Bhaya Cruises answered my question.  The new cruise terminal is a 30 minute taxi ride from Tuan Chao where the overnight junk cruises embark and disembark.

I was going to find out for you when we arrived. Another week until Halong as yet. Currently about 19 hours from Laem Chabang.

Only just noticed this as wasn't following. No, I did an overnight in Hanoi 😊
