But of course, no camera and no binoculars.  Plus, we had an appointment.

I think I will go back to the area with my camera.

That sounds like a good sighting and plan . We hope that you see it again and maybe have some photos to share . My wife grew up in Michigan near lake Huron and we used to visit a lot when her parents were alive . Some good memories !
