We are cruising on the Anthem April 27,2019.  We will be driving up from Maryland the day before.  Any recommendations for hotels, we can be an hourish away as we plan on driving to the port and parking in their garage.  Thanks

What is your hotel budget?  Two people?

If you're willing to stay up to an hour away, I'd look at hotels in East Windsor (Exit 8 ) or Cranbury (exit 8A).  The Courtyard in Cranbury is an easy on/easy off the Turnpike and about 40 minutes from Cape Liberty. There are also more budget friendly choices.  No reason at all to get involved with the Newark Airport hotels.

Thanks, there is just the 2 of us.  Budget is in the $100-150 range and we would like the breakfast included.

There is a new Hampton Inn near exit 8A that opens March 25.  Prices are very reasonable.  AAA and Hilton Honors rates are $107-108 plus tax.

If that doesn't suit, post back.  There aren't a lot of hotels with free breakfast.  Hampton Inn in East Windsor is $150+. Days Inn has continental breakfast.  Residence Inn is even more $$.  The East Windsor area has several diners.
