Grand Celebration Review

Recommended Posts

I can’t for the life of me see how there would be a review of the Grand Celebration Cruise when she has been moored in Boston Harbor housing gas workers. There are two reviews under her name that does not belong there. How did it get past Laura? The first review was for the Classica and should have been moved under the Classica. The second review looks like it was written by a troll or a gas worker up in Boston who is pissed off for their accommodations. I know that the people being house on the Celebration do not have access to any of the true accommodations that you would normally have access to such as the bar, casino, etc. so if this review was written by such a person it should not have been allowed to be posted. They weren’t on a cruise they were just sleeping on the ship. There isn’t even a date of the cruise. This not fair to the rating of the ship or cruise line.

I saw the Classica review and wondered how it got under the Celebration also.

There are actually 2 more after that one, both dated November 2018.

Perhaps the CC staff is not aware the Celebration is on charter.

If you ask me the last 2 are from the same TROLL, and my guess is that all three may be from a unhappy BPCL employee.

The majority of us that have actually sailed BPCL know that none of the information posted is true. Sometimes it is ignorance on the part of a first time cruiser, but again, in my opinion, either someone looking to stir up trouble or someone, (like an employee) has an axe to grind.

I'd once read a very nasty review of an Azamara cruise we were on, and thought to myself that there was no way this person was on the same ship as us. Every other review was stellar.

I just wish Cruise Critic would be a little more critical about posting these troll like reviews. We don’t get a chance to challenge the garbage that was posted and it is a disservice to the cruise line and the Readers that deserve a true review of the ship.

Thank you Cruise Critic. I wrote a note complaining about the false reviews on the Grand Celebration and Cruise Critic took them down. Nice to know that they do pay attention to complaints.

Hi there.  We're quite critical of every review submitted to us.  Each review is processed by a real person.  We aren't perfect, though.  We miss things every so often.  You should see the stuff that we do catch!  :classic_ohmy:

If you see something suspicious in a member review, write to reviews@cruisecritic.com.  That's the fastest way to let us know about an issue.

Thanks for looking out for us!  Our readers are the best.

We all truly appreciate your swift response. I am not against a true criticism of a cruise but when the ship was obviously not doing cruises it was maddening to read. We love this website and want to keep as many liars and trolls off the site.

I love this web site too!  :classic_love:  I looked at one of the reviews and I processed it.  I had no idea the ship wasn't sailing.  It just looked like someone that had a very bad time.  Thanks again for looking out for us and keeping us the number one source for cruise news and reviews.  Enjoy the weekend!

I agree. I love this site. Did not realize how much fun it can be. Reading and finding thinks I I did not know and answering them that I can give some advise on. We are major cruisers and do the Bahamas Cruise line ships for fillins. 4-6 regular cruises a year. Several different lines. When it started with the Bahamas Celebration we were totally disappointed about everything. Since the new owners took over a 100% turn around. Most if not all of there crew are from other cruise lines. They tell me that this company is wonderful to them, You can tell. They are all happy and cannot do enough to make you happy. Both of these ships are really nice. We prefer the Grand Celebration. To each there own. No matter which one you choose. You cannot bet the price at all. Only one bad cruise and it was last years New Years cruise.
