frankandanne Posted December 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2018 In Cuban ports, when you go ashore, are there the taxis, vans, etc, offering tours and sightseeing as there are in many ports? Also, is US cash wanted by them? What about credit cards? Any help appreciated.

Rare cruisemom42 Posted December 10, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 10, 2018 There were a number of them in Havana, close to the cruise terminal -- mostly the old American cars that have been converted into taxis. I did not see many (or any) vans. We were told that we needed to use the CUCs (the Cuban currency for tourists) and there is a place to change money just after passport control in the terminal. However, others were telling us that some places WILL accept US dollars. Not sure about taxis though... You cannot use US credit cards, they are blocked.
