PhillyFan33579 Posted December 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2018 The first thought that came to my mind was how often will this ride be closed. 5
JaniceB Posted December 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2018 Mine exact thought too after the horizon sky ride. I would ride. I did the water coaster on Disney, fun!
Mikew0805 Posted December 13, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted December 13, 2018 There is one with a video of if, and Christine Duffy showing off the actual cars. I would ride it too.. why not. I agree about the "being closed." When we boarded the Horizon on Dec 1st, there was a not in the cabin about sky ride being closed for the whole cruise. Luckily, they fixed it and opened it up on day 3 or 4.

Lovefuninthesun Posted December 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 13, 2018 Seriously not my cup of tea on a cruise. Eye roll. But to each his own......
BoDidly Posted December 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 13, 2018 I don't see this happening. The track is to close to the stack. There would be soot buildup on the track ,maintenance would become a nightmare over a period of time.
cbowls30 Posted December 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 13, 2018 I think it's a great idea, we loved the sky ride on vista, although I think a water-coaster like Disney aqua duck would of maybe been a better idea, enclosed and then much less effected by wind/weather....looking forward to see what else the mega-Madrid gras will bring! Can't wait for itinieries to come out, we will be booking!
Rare Tapi Posted December 13, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 13, 2018 When cruise lines started introducing things like water parks, zip lines, rock climbing walls, etc, I used to roll my eyes thinking that I’d never use any of these facilities. But now, with children who love thrill rides, we seek cruise ships that do offer innovative types of entertainment like this one. Mardi Gras may be in our future. Can’t wait to see my son’s reaction when he gets home from school today and I show him this rollercoaster.

Yeah, I think it is happening.

Wouldn't there be a lot less soot on a LNG powered ship?

Rare pyropoodle Posted December 13, 2018 #22 Share Posted December 13, 2018 I'm pretty excited about it. I have a couple of kiddos who will be excited too! Can't wait to book this ship, it will be my first ever brand new ship.

The rides close for the safety of the guests. Maybe they are a little over cautious, but big seas or too much wind can make the rides dangerous

Once we looked into building it, it was too close to the stack, so nevermind." This is one roller-coaster I might right.
