Lists for packing, to do before leaving home,  on board tips etc. and I thought it might be interesting to revive this thread.

Although it's called Carnival Cruise Tips & is from 2009 it was updated in 2013 & it does contain many relevant facts, lists & info.

 

The fun part for experienced cruisers might be to go through it & revise any outdated info. Just quote page # & give me the line, I would correct the original file!

Otherwise you can get a chuckle from some of the items.

I'm pretty sure that at some point in 2009, I posted about using a bungee chord to hold open a door and then the floodgates opened, and people created new screen names just to yell at me. .....just kidding.  I didn't use a bungee.

15th bullet point suggests you bring salt & pepper shakers and a bottle of ketchup to your cabin to use on your midnight snack. Where exactly do you get those? Do you swipe them from the buffet area?

Bullet 8- Room service needs to be updated- no longer free after 10 PM, some are for a cost during the day.

Bullet 9- Soda cards have gone up in price

Bullet 11- cappuccino no longer free

Bullet 20- references the 'Capers'... GONE! replaced by Fun Times

Bullet 21- you're not allowed to bring anything except prepackaged foods ashore in any foreign country (pretty user that Key West would be okay!)

Bullet 23- Lido buffet no longer has trays... if you want one, keep the one from the room service order you made.

Bullet 25- Sushi Bar no longer exists- was replaced by the Taste Bar...

 

Just the first page, but a lot of them did bring back smiles of days of yore!
