Hello again everyone, and welcome to another one of my LIVE... photo blogs.

This time it's the Royal Princess to Princess Cays, St. Thomas and Sint Maarten. Since we've been to all of these ports several times, this will be a cruise of relaxation, and enjoying port days on the ship when most of the passengers are ashore. So basically, a 7-day cruise to nowhere! Let me know if there's any pics of the Royal you'd like to see, or anything else. I'll find out as much as I can about any changes after wetdock the week before last. (looking forward to the new beds!)

Starting our journey in the Maple Leaf Lounge at Pearson Airport, with some Cream of Potato & Leek soup and naan bread with hummus. The fog has rolled in here, and our flight is already delayed. We're flying into Palm Beach instead of Ft. Lauderdale in order to avoid Air Canada Rouge. The Palm Beach flight is still operated by mainline.

Stay Tuned!

Steve.

Super excited to follow another Live Report from you.   Always exciting and informative.   Looking forward to all of your pictures as well.  I was on the Royal from November 17th to Dec 1st.   The entire crew were really looking forward to the week long wetdock so they could enjoy some free time.   We were in a mini suite on Lido and half way through week 1, we had 2 new TV’s delivered to our cabin and a day later, someone stored them under our bed.  We assumed they would be installed during the wetdock.   I am wondering if they replaced any of the couches in the mini suites.   Ours was so worn out and extremely uncomfortable.   A few of the casino dealers said they were staying on board for the week to help install new carpet throughout the ship.  We also heard they were going to be giving the casino an update with some new slot machines.   This was our third time on Royal and it’s still a gorgeous ship.    I hope you have a fabulous cruise.  BON VOYAGE!!!!!

Thanks for taking the time to do a LIVE report!  You’re always so informative and take great pics. Have been on the Regal several times but our first time on the Royal will be this April 2019.  I’m excited to hear what was done during wetdock. Hope the new beds will be in place.  I wonder if the CC minis had them already or will be placed when the rest are.

Also, was hoping for Ocean Medallion.

Will ave at you as we depart the Royal tomorrow. It is a great ship and a busy itinerary so enjoy yourself.  Only thing we did not like was the Personnal Service desk.  They could not get their act together at all. So if you havea problem see Ifran or Adan for a resolution.

Our original plan was to stay at the Hampton Inn Cypress Creek tonight. We had a reservation since last January, but we’ve been following the progress of renovations after Hurricane Irma last year. The opening kept getting pushed back; first March, then May, then September. Not trusting it to open in time for today, we made an alternate reservation at the Hampton Inn Deerfield Beach, which is halfway between West Palm Beach, where we flew into, and Port Everglades. Sure enough, it took until last week for Hampton to inform us that that Cypress Creek would be closed until 2019. Glad we had a backup plan. The Deerfield Beach Hampton Inn is quite nice.

Good Morning everyone! It’s boarding day!

Here’s a tip: if you rent a car from Alamo, National, or Enterprise, you can return it at the Alamo location on Eller Drive right at the port. Much faster shuttle ride to the ship.

We arrived at the port at 10:05, and were welcomed right in. A quick security line, zero wait at check-in, and we’re waiting in the Elite lounge to board.

This is our first time through the revamped Terminal 2. Looks modern and exciting.
