Martini, glass of wine, no straw. Glass of gingerale, yes straw
Jim Avery Posted December 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 21, 2018 We were able to refuse straws. Save the world one straw at a time....😎
nancyshaw Posted December 21, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted December 21, 2018 Several lines no longer offer ANY straws for anything. Some have gone to paper ones. Looks like Viking O still offers plastic.
alc13 Posted December 22, 2018 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2018 It's no hardship drinking from a glass without a straw, I've found, if you are not an invalid I mean. I've gotten in the habit of leaving them on the table unwrapped. I like supporting this movement.

It pales in comparison to the thousands of plastic bottles of water given to passengers at every stop. How about each passenger given a metal Yeti bottle with your cruise and your responsibility to fill it before leaving the ship?? And think of the fun watching your fellow passengers drinking a frozen margarita or daiquiri without a straw..... Win-win.

There was a small piece of paper on the top of the straw.
