riddle Posted December 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2018 We disembarked Miami off the Jade. We did not have a bill over our room slot as usual. Most doors did not. We did not have time to wait in the long line at guest services. I will call NCL tomorrow to see if I can get a copy of the bill. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? valleyvillage Posted December 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2018 It would appear from this thread that it has happened before.
don't-use-real-name Posted December 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2018 Some paperwork reduction promo going on LOL ! I have found if it is not in the door mail slot - the bill was placed under the door sill. Just as a precaution I visit Guest Services about 10pm the last night of the cruise and get a print out of my account so I can take care of any surprises. On most of the ships you can access your account thru the cabin TV - BUT - strange about this not receiving a bill at your cabin door - You did notice the other cabin doors in your passageway not having the invoices but that is not a certainty - the Guests in those cabins could have snatched the invoice and left the ship early ? All this unless you checked a tiny box in very fine print that you declined the invoice.
zqvol Posted December 28, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Unfortunately, you re not going to be able to get copy of the bill after you are off the ship, unless you get very lucky. Good luck trying.
Sand and Seas Posted December 28, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 28, 2018 On all of our cruises (last one mid-November) the paper they deliver to your room that describes the disembarkation procedures has always said that your final bill would be delivered to your room by early AM on last day. Has anybody noticed if that is no longer noted on the 'You'll be leaving us soon....' paper?

Good luck trying. All the more reason to get one the night before even if you add stuff at the last minute - a partial is better than none ! At the very least on the ships with the cabin TV account pull it up and take a (screen shot) picture of it - simple ! If you don't do this you may just get an blanket itemized invoice - you owe us this - pay-up - your credit card statement will be of no help here either. I check my account frequently - was puzzled why I got a hefty charge on the MDR account - NCL processes the Viva Vino wine program thru the MDR - strange but that was the explanation that figured into resolving the issue. Also as a point if you have the shore excursion credit promo check that you did get the $50 cabin credit for it. It is your cruise - your money demand an accounting for it ! riddle Posted December 28, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Update: I did get one on the last night but there are casino service fees that do not get waived until the wee hours of the morning of departure. I am in the casino class where those get waived. However, this morning, after being transferred 4 times to different people and put on hold for almost an hour I did get an emailed copy of my bill. Once they got me to the right person (customer relations desk) it took seconds. And, yes, the charges had been removed. All is well that ends well. cruiser147147 Posted December 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Did not get one on Breakaway 12-16-18 disembarkation. But I did have an awful room steward so who knows. Checked account balance on app before getting off.
ready2cruzagain Posted December 28, 2018 #9 Share Posted December 28, 2018 Was on the Epic last year for 3 weeks and did not get one on final night ever. Had to go to guest services to get it.
Oakman58 Posted December 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted December 28, 2018 You definitely always want to check your bill before leaving the ship. On our British Isles cruise there was a $34.80 charge from Tankards Bar on embarkation day. We hadn’t even gone to Tankards that day and we also had the UBP so we knew that charge wasn’t right. It took three trips to Guest Services to get that charge removed. Mistakes do happen.
