BigProc Posted December 29, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2018 What "odd" things do you make sure to bring on every cruise? I know less is more when it comes to packing, but what little things help make your cruises go more smoothly? Duct tape? First aid kit? Over the door shoe organizer for bathroom essentials? Power strip? What other things can you think of?

BigProc Posted December 29, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted December 29, 2018 All good thoughts! I'm also bringing a 30 oz RTIC tumbler for drinking water so I don't have to buy the incredibly overpriced bottled water.
lyannea Posted December 29, 2018 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2018 An extra pair of reading glasses. Both NCL cruises I’ve taken did not have them in the gift shop and I was told that they no longer carry them. The lost & found at the service desk had tons- never had mine turned in

peg013 Posted December 29, 2018 #13 Share Posted December 29, 2018 Battery operated votive or tealight candles work best for night lights. You can put them anywhere you might run into something and they don't light up the whole room to wake you up.

Does she know? Yes know you can. However, I take one the morning of the cruise, so since I can’t buy just one, I take the package with me.
craftygrandma Posted December 29, 2018 #17 Share Posted December 29, 2018 I make sure to have enough packs for the couple of days after the cruise and before the next one.
Rare Monica887 Posted December 29, 2018 #18 Share Posted December 29, 2018 I just got off one cruise and have another booked so I made a list of things to remember for next time. We travel with small kids so there are 4 of us in the room.A few small things include: -A suction cup toothbrush holder to stick on the mirror. -A fabric cube bin that folds flat for shoes. -Magnets to help manage all the papers and keep the dresser top cleared. -Laundry bag so we can easily see what clean clothes are left. -A good hanging travel case for the back of the bathroom door for toiletries. I also would love extra hooks, somehow, for backpacks (they hold the kids books and toys) and jackets. But not sure if over the door hooks would fit. Open to ideas!

Rare Monica887 Posted December 29, 2018 #22 Share Posted December 29, 2018 Also a sports waist pack - if I go to a beach alone, I can put my money and ship card in it so I don't leave it unattended on the beach while I swim.

GC I put the cash and card in a ziplock bag, then in the pouch. I usually wear a tankini, so it's under the shirt part, not too visible.
