1st Posted December 31, 2018 #1 Share Posted December 31, 2018 Does anyone know about how many points is needed for free drinks in the casino? Do the points carry on to each new cruise you take or do you need to start all over again? Thanks for your help!
Wallbanger Posted December 31, 2018 #2 Share Posted December 31, 2018 I believe it is 1000 for a five day cruise and 1500 on a seven day. I also believe it carries over when you reach a certain level of points but not sure of that amount.
TheJayCat Posted December 31, 2018 #3 Share Posted December 31, 2018 I believe that it takes 1500 points to the free drinks in the casino. The points do not carry over to the next cruise.
DallasGuy75219 Posted December 31, 2018 #4 Share Posted December 31, 2018 When you earn 5,000 points on a cruise, you pre-qualify for a Drinks on Us card at the beginning of your next cruise.
oxymoron11 Posted December 31, 2018 #5 Share Posted December 31, 2018 I can't find the page that gives you the definitive answer (Carnival is a bit secretive about it's perks) but I know it is 1500 points on a seven day cruise and I believe it is 1000 points on a 4 day or less cruise. If you earn 5000 points on any one cruise, the following cruise you receive free drinks from the beginning. Look for offers in your VIFP folder, some include free drinks. 1st Posted December 31, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted December 31, 2018 Does anyone know how to check how many points earned at the end of the cruise?
oxymoron11 Posted December 31, 2018 #7 Share Posted December 31, 2018 If you play slots the points will show on a slot machine. For table games, see the casino host periodically to check on your points to make sure they are rating you correctly.
Djptcp Posted January 1, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 1, 2019 (edited) Points do not carry over to your next cruise. For Drinks on Us, you need to accrue 1000 points on a 3-5 day cruise, 1500 points on a 7+ day cruise. I usually reach both on the second day playing slots. Your point number shows up on the slot machine while your card is on it. When you receive Premier Getaway (shorter cruises) and Premier Cruise (longer cruises) offers from the casino, you receive Drinks on Us the first day. You do not receive Drinks on Us the first day with the Dealer's Choice casino offers. 34 cruises on Carnival and I play in the casino whenever it is open, so lots of experience 😀 Edited January 1, 2019 by Djptcp misspelled word
oxymoron11 Posted January 1, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 1, 2019 I've been on a few cruises myself so I searched for the Carnival page that explains it all. help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3435/~/carnival-players-club Do I get complimentary drinks while playing? We do offer complimentary drinks to eligible players once they have reached a certain level of play: Slot Players: Any guest who earns the required number of points during a single voyage departing from North America and Europe will be eligible to receive the 'Drinks On Us!' card. The standard point level that must be reached to qualify from slot play is 1,000 points on sailings less than 5 days and 1,500 points on sailings 5 days or longer. Table Players: Table players will be awarded a 'Drinks On Us!' card when they reach comparable table play. Please see the Casino Host on board for further details about our 'Drinks On Us!' program. Cobrakev Posted January 3, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 3, 2019 Good luck trying to get a DOU card playing any of the tables. I have never seen it done. Points don't add up as quickly as it does on the slots

Points don't add up as quickly as it does on the slots I have received one for every one of my 25 cruises playing just roulette, so I must be very lucky. 🙂 The one time the DOU card does carry over to the following cruise is on a back-to-back. Just go to the cage on the first day of the second leg and exchange the old one for a new one.
CaneDawg Posted January 4, 2019 #12 Share Posted January 4, 2019 It depends how cool the pit boss is on table games. On my last Miracle cruise, on day 2, 4 of us at the craps table got a drink card who also played day 1, probably only run 500-750 through the table at that point. I tried to get a point total from the Casino host near the end of the cruise and could get no straight answers. I know my cruise fare deals have about vanished but on board perks have increased. Free chips - Drink Card - Free bottle of wine voucher at dinner- sweets delivered to room.
