Costco?

Hi.

 

We will be  docked at New Orleans for two days. We would like to go to Costco on the first morning.  We are from the U.K. and want to grab their coffee pods which we can’t get in the U.K.   How far is it from the port and is it easy to get taxis back to the port?

Costco is located approximately 4 miles from the cruise port.  Not sure if taxis hang out at Costco, but you could Uber back the the port.

 

Costco Address: 3900 Dublin St, New Orleans, LA 70118 - using Google maps will give you an idea where it is compared to the Cruise Port.

It would be a $10 - $15 ride from the port. The cab drivers will know where it is. There is no cab stand at Costco, but you can call United Cab: 522-9771.

FYI there is a Walmart about 1.5 miles south of the port on Tchoupitoulas St.  It might save you a little time and taxi fare.  It is a safe area as the Police Station abuts the parking lot to the north.

Just a quick note in case you weren't aware... you have to pay a pretty steep membership fee to shop at Costco. Membership starts at $60 for a year.
