First time to Bermuda

We just booked Celebrity Summit for May 5 - 12 to Bermuda.  It is the first time there.  What are the "don't miss" sights?

Depends on what you like to do...St. Georges is a ferry ride away and is full of historical buildings and re-enactments, Hamilton has shopping and an art museum, the island is known for it's golf courses if you play and of course the beaches! There are the Crystal Caves, and aquarium, the Swizzle Inn (home of the Rum Swizzle), King's Wharf has shopping and a museum...Lots of things to do! Check more of the boards here and you'll find lots!

  You will be docked at the Royal Navel Dockyard on the East End. Easy access to beautiful South Shore pink sand beaches. Your dates are not generally not considered to be in the beach season but people from northern regions may be okay with the beach then. There are ferries that go to St. George’s which is a World Heritage Center and also to the major “city” Hamilton.

 

A good starting point is the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s website. After you read that and sample some of the threads on this board you will have basic knowledge to ask questions here about sights that interest you.

I also recommend ordering the Bermuda Travellers Guide and Bermuda Destination Map from the same website. They will mail you those free.

Thank you for this information.  I ordered the guide and map for my June trip.  I was there years ago and loved it. We docked in Hamilton then but will be at the Dockyard this time so the guide and map will really help us plan.
