fdthird Posted January 9, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Got an e-mail from a Royal this morning that the same 30% off deal that I got in December for the drink package on our March Liberty cruise is back. Might be worth ch3cking out your cruise planner. $46 a day rather than $52.
JKCamara Posted January 9, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Ugh! I have been hoping for one of these sales to hit our sailing. We still have some time for it to happen, but everything is still really pricey and has been that way since we booked back in July.
Rare CruisinCrow Posted January 9, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I just checked my cruise planner and it shows Buy One Get One 50% Off. I guess I'll go ahead and purchase because at least it's a couple of dollars cheaper than the usual price.
Ilovesailaway Posted January 9, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Wouldn't 30%off $52 bring the price down to $36?

It's 30% off $65. $65 is the price if you book onboard. $52 is the 20% off price you get if you book online before the cruise.

kag19 Posted January 9, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Thanks for letting us know since I never get any of the promotional emails from Royal. I am going to go check!
Milwaukee Eight Posted January 9, 2019 #9 Share Posted January 9, 2019 (edited) 30 minutes ago, Ilovesailaway said: Wouldn't 30%off $52 bring the price down to $36? No. It 30% off the onboard price. 30% off is better than BOGO 50% off as that is really 25% off each, of the onboard price. HOSKI Posted January 9, 2019 #10 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I saw the sale last night and hubby got his drink package. Will be booking our excursions tonight as they are also on sale. I'm not getting the drink package (different cabin) for either cruise. I'd really like to know why the drink package pricing is all over the place. What I mean is that even the regular price differs between ships and sailings. I'm taking my girls to Bermuda and the price for that cruise is way out there so I'll skip it. Not one of our cruises have/had the same "regular" price or sale price for the packages.

Royal uses dynamic pricing. The pricing algorithms are constantly working to charge whatever the market will bear.
wwcruisers Posted January 9, 2019 #12 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Is this discount for all sailings? We're in the process of booking a last-minute family cruise -- but I didn't see anything about a discounted drink package, when I was on RC's website, just now. Of course, I was mostly focusing on the 60% off second passenger (on selected sailings).
parothead Posted January 9, 2019 #13 Share Posted January 9, 2019 no discount on my sailing but i got my refeshment pkg back in Nov for $17 a day and it is now $26. the cabana I want to rent at Coco Cay went up$

I have a cruise on Harmony Jan 20 and it's 30% off at $46 per day, but my June Allure cruise is 20% off at $56 per day. Last week there was a sale for those on Allure or Harmony, I forget which, this week and the price was $42 per day. Once again the creative math of Royal Caribbean is at work. The prices for drinks aren't on the website per se, they are in the Cruise Planner which is available once the cruise is booked.
wwcruisers Posted January 9, 2019 #16 Share Posted January 9, 2019 Thanks, Guys! When we call to book, we can ask about it at the time, I guess. This will be our first RC cruise in eight years, so I'll probably be back with more questions, over the next few days/weeks! 😎
beachlady80 Posted January 9, 2019 #17 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I think each cruise has different discounts. Mike is still Buy one get one 50% - which is 25% off....
DramaQueen22 Posted January 9, 2019 #18 Share Posted January 9, 2019 $462 for our 4 day cruise...for 2 people. Sorry, but there's NO WAY I would drink that much even with coffee, soda, and water added in. Yikes.

karena1 Posted January 9, 2019 #20 Share Posted January 9, 2019 I check mine all the time - most I am seeing is 25% off. So I booked and will probably cancel once I get someone to post the price before we cruise since I can get 30% off once we are one the ship
