Holiday Inn MIA Airport

Is there anything close by the Holiday Inn MIA airport to do? Do you have to use a taxi or Uber to get around? TIA

There is nothing much near the airport. You will need to Uber/Lyft (don't take taxis) around to do much. 

 

If you are staying in Miami for any amount of period of time other than a night flight arrival I highly suggest you find a hotel in Downtown/Brickell area or some other areas. By the airport is not the place to be unless all you want is a bed to sleep in.

That HI corner is tough. Surrounded by highways it is unpleasant to walk anywhere even if you could go somewhere.

Better option near MIA are hotels in the Blue Lagoon area with a nearby strip mall (across the street from the Hampton Inn) - dining, fast food, grocery & drug stores.
