Cruise from New York December

I am looking at NCL and it cruises from New York to Florida and the Caribbean in December or January.

 

Will it be very cold sailing at least from New York to Florida? I that the reason that the Ocean view is more expensive than the Balcony?

I think it would be commonsense to expect it to be cold the first day or so out of NYC, and the last day or so coming back. It will get warmer as you get closer to the Caribbean.

In addition to being cold, it may not be smooth sailing the first few days and last few.

That time of year the entire cruise could be cold, or it could warm up by the end of the first sea day. Temps depend on how far south you go. If it is no further than Nassau, the entire cruise could be cool.

Good move....no sense wasting 1/2 of the cruise in the cold!
