cruise port to Washington DC

Cruising on the Grandeur this summer and want to visit DC prior to cruise.  Where is the best place to board the rail system if I book a pre cruise hotel near the cruise port?

If you book a hotel near the cruise port you can take the MARC train from Camden Yards or further away at Penn Station which runs more

frequent than the Camden line . If you book near the airport you can catch MARC at the airport.

The MARC train is a lot cheaper than taking Amtrak since this is a commuter train  You can go online to get an idea if schedule

The trains to/from Camden Yards only run during rush hours.  Because the trains from Penn Station also service the airport they are more frequent.

Airport is not that far from the cruise port, so you might want to stay in that area.  But lots of things to do in Baltimore also.

Thanks for the info! We haven't decided if we are flying in or driving so now I have a lot to research.
