Munich Airport

Looking for recommendations on Munich Airport.  Is it better than Frankfurt Airport.  Trying to book flights to Bucharest and return from Budapest to New York.  I see that there are  flights to/from Munich.  Never been at this airport.  Frankfurt is a nightmare normally a long walk between arrivals and departure gates.

Munich is a great airport. Much easier to make connections in.

IMHO Munich is easier than Frankfurt. If given the choice, I would likely choose Munich over Frankfurt, all other things being equal.

I did this trip last August to September. Chicago- Bucharest, Prague-Chicago.

 

My recommendation is to bookeither Austrian Airlines through Vienna directly or via United the alliance partner. Vienna is a great airport, plus on spends less time on the A 319.  Austrian Airlines is also a treat compared to the US big 3, and I enjoy far more than Lufthansa. Watch for a sale on Austrian Airlines!

I find the Munich airport much easier to navigate than Frankfurt. I too hate the long walk to the end of Z to catch my return flight to the states. No such long walks in Munich.
