Does anyone know of any cool cruises down the Mekong river or had any postive (or hilariously negative) experiences they'd like to share?

We traveled with Avalon 3 years ago to Vietnam and Cambodia, this was land and a 7 night Mekong cruise, it was amazing.  Very small group of 28, we loved everything about it.  We’ve been itching to return and will do an independent land trip back to Vietnam later this year.

I would highly recommend Avalon Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City. We did it first week in November 2018.

Small, comfortable boat, 18 cabins, great food, well organized excursions, super cruise director and guides.

We went on a 19 day, Vietnam & Cambodia Explorer & Mekong River Cruise in April 2018 on the M/V Mekong Navigator, by Emerald Waterways.  In my opinion, it was the best ocean/river/land tour package that we have ever been on.  Emerald put on a good itinerary where we saw & experienced a lot of history & culture.
