Taxi to Mountain top and then Magens?

Anyone ever take a taxi from Crown Bay to the mountain top for some pictures and then immediately go to Magens?  Is this something taxis will do? Ideas on cost for 2 adults and 2 kids (9 & 3). Thanks!

I was researching the same thing and I found you are better off renting a car.   Taxis costs to each location will be between 8-12 per person.

A car rental varies by car type but can be between 50-100 dollars for the day.

I also looked into the same thing, and there are 2 problems -- if you want the cab to wait, you'll pay for each minute -- and if the cab leaves, you'll have difficulty getting one to come and get you.

You could also consider one of the tours offered which would take you all the island grab some great pics then drop you at the beach and pick you up at a set time. We've done Bernard's with children and he and his team are great. Might be more cost effective for your family of 4.

Just taxi to MT, take your time there, then taxi to Magens - easy and the cost isn't that much...!

Yes, taking taxis is not inexpensive for a family of 4, no discounts for children makes it even less tolerable. But the cost is not that much if you consider the ease and flexibility. Renting a car is attractive to many if the taxi cost is a major concern. You can also take one of the shared cookie cutter tours like that mentioned that hit MT and Magens if you don't mind being part of the group, they may or may not choose Magens for the beach. You just sacrifice your flexibility for the cost, but the savings may be worth it to you?

Taxi fare per person ranges now from 8-15 depending on the distance.      Taxi minimum cost is already 128 dollars.    I would suggest a car rental then you can spend all the time wherever you want.   A 4 door jeep rental is 100 dollars (all taxes included).

Yes it depends on your priorities, to keep costs down renting a car is an option as is a less expensive tour with an independent. Taxi fares from Crown to various sights are posted right at the dock.

For this limited itinerary a ship excursion or an independent cookie cutter tour would probably make sense...
