Early flight

Thinking of booking the Magic for a 6 day cruise in May..Can we catch an 830am flight out of FLL? The Magic is sailing out of Fort Lauderdale or are we putting it too close? Thanks

That would be cutting it too close for me - I would not book a flight before 11 - you can never tell what time you will actually get in and get released

Nope. Way too close. I’ve done a 9:45am our of FLL before....but it requires being one of the first off the ship...and assuming the ship is on time. We made it to the airport and thru security by 8:45 (TSA precheck) but 8:30....you’d never make it.

No way, I agree with Memoak.  Even if you get in on time they still need to clear the ship through Customs, and you have to disembark, go through customs, as well as go through security at the airport.  Weather could delay your arrival too.  Stick with an 11am target window, or something close to that.

WAY too early! For me,  have I ever seen debarkation by 8:00AM.

I do think you may want a flight around 11:00 AM, or later to be safe.

My opinion, of course!

WAY WAY WAY too early.  Anything before 10:30 and your odds of missing the flight climb fast.  10am would be the earliest I would even consider, and I would consider that a bit of a gamble.
