Epic Questions

We cruise often. We try to show up at the port around 10:15. Get through security and get through check in before the crowds show up. Priority boarding starts around 11:00. General boarding starts between 11:15 and 11:30.

The Garden Cafe Buffet and O'Shehan's pub is open at 11:30 for lunch.

The Taste Main Dining Room opens at noon (that's where we go for a leiserly first (of many) meals)

Rooms are usually ready around 1:00-1:30.

The Epic from Barcelona?   I think the docs tell you at any time from 11 am.  We have arrived around that time - and last time checked in at 1 pm.  The size of the queues was never huge.  It seemed to vary.  We have been on the Epic five times, each time was different.

Rooms are ready a couple of hours later.  Bags might not be in your room for another few hours.

You will be able to go and have lunch while you wait for the rooms to become available.  If you are planning to laze in the sun from the start, make sure you have your bikini and sunscreen available.

If you want to have time to explore BCN you might want to be there a little later, but always check your documents for the latest boarding time.  Believe the  documents not Cruise Critic.

We're going to be on the Epic in two weeks, what things do we need to reserve immediately on arrival? How do we do this? I've reserved what I can online but it says some things have to be on the boat. I've already booked the 3 included specialty dining options and our excursions, as well as one show O cared about.

Book the other shows that you weren't able to do online.  Some comedy and the Escape the Big Top are two that come to mind.

You can book comedy shows, Priscilla Queen of the Jungle, Burn the Floor, Cirque Dreams (extra fee) at the Box Office/Entertainment Desk on Deck 6 in front of the forward elevators. If you are comfortable with tech, you can use the touch screen kiosk screens outside public elevator lobbies. Early comedy shows are family oriented; late shows are 18+.

You can also book the escape room, and Canvas by U (Painting - extra fee).

Once you get your entertainment booked, you can go and adjust your dining times.

You should also pick a tender time and reserve seats.
