Another Michelin-starred chef is due to guest on Britannia and this time it's the superb Robert Thompson from the Isle of Wight.

Robert was previously head chef at The Hambrough Hotel in Ventnor, where he became the youngest chef in the UK to gain a Michelin star. I had the pleasure of dining there a number of times and the accolade was well deserved.

A number of years ago he set up his own restaurant (Thompsons) in Newport, also on the Isle of Wight and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of meals there and are looking forward to going there again this summer.

He's also a really nice chap who spends time talking to customers. Sadly, we can't go on this particular cruise, but I thoroughly recommend anyone who can to check him out.
