Parking in New Orleans while on a River Cruise

I have friends who are not on these boards that are going to do a round trip from New Orleans on the American Duchess. They will be spending one day and night prior at the Intercontinental Hotel. They were told they could leave their car there, but the cost is $45 per day!! They are looking for some safe, secured parking for less than that. Anyone have any ideas?

Try Machu Pichu Tours.  They have a website and are on Trip Advisor.  Very good service and very satisfied.

There is covered long term parking near the AD's Poydras Street Wharf landing. It's just on the street side of the Riverwalk Mall. Parking should not be a problem, and I doubt that the parking there is $45. per day.
