Casino Monte Carlo

We will be on the Epic in June.  My DH wants to go to Monte Carlo from Cannes to see the casino during the morning/early afternoon.  Can we wear shorts and/or casual site seeing clothes or do we have to dress up more?  We won’t be gambling just want to do the tour that cost €17.  Also are children allowed in?  Thx!

I went after 2PM, paid 10 Euro for entry and had to show my passport. Not sure if the morning visit requires a passport.
