Walking to New Orleans Terninal

We are staying at the Cambria Hotel in the Warehouse district.  We are heading for the Julia St, Terminal. According to Google maps, it is only a 13 minute walk from the terminal.  (We will confirm this with a test run a day or two before.)  We will be sailing on Royal Caribbean's Vision Of The Seas on Feb 2.   Are we allowed to walk onto the Port?

Luggage is not an issue, we always travel with carry on only, and have walked to terminals in San Fransisco and to a pick up point in Civitavecchia  (Rome).

Thanks!  So it's not vehicle traffic only on the terminal?

I took this video last month walking from the Marriott to the NCL/RCCL port, then continuing to the CCL port.

At 1:40 I look left and you can see embassy suites. That’s Julia street and the direction you’d be coming from.

At the 5:10 mark you can see your destination. Now if you want to do it without crossing those tracks where the cars are coming out you can walk on that covered area on the other side and take either the escalator or elevator up. Go into the mall and take the inside elevator down and it will take you there.
