About 2 pm we went to our suite. The first bag was delivered a couple of minutes later but we had to wait~2 hours for our second bag.It arrived just before the compulsory lifeboat drill. Our butler arrived 2 minutes after the first bag.Andrew is our butler and Solty the suite attendant. Both are good.
So the pictures of our suite.First the bedroom and walk in wardrobe.

So we wave to Turtlemichael-who of course isn't on board at this time. And all the other CCers.

You may recognise it as it has been used in The Matrix Reloaded,Red Planet and the series Water Rats.It was served by the "60 Milers"which brought coal from the Hunter or Shoalhaven.Early on they loaded at Morpeth then Hexham but there were many loading facilities.Details here-

Next is the old Glebe Island Bridge which I crossed many times a a young fellow. It is a swing bridge. There is a campaign to use it again for pedestrians and cyclists.

Sail away was at 6pm.In a masterstroke of planning Silversea scheduled their Meet and Mingle for Cruise Critic guests at 6pm.It was to be hosted by the Asst. cruise Director who did not show up.Was meant to be in the main bar.Signs were up for the Foreign guests meet up and the Solo travellers meet up but none for the Meet and Mingle so we went out on deck.Came back after passing the Opera House and now a sign up and 8 other Cruise critic guests but no rep fron SS.
So from the deck-here we go.

Thank you for taking so much time to make your trip on the Muse come alive for we who are waiting to board very soon. Photos are great. Looking forward to more. Elaine

Hi, Dr. Ron!  Appreciate your wonderful posting, pictures and follow-ups. Keep it coming, especially about the Silver Muse!! In July, for our first time, we will be seeing Jasper/Banff, the Western Canada Rocky Mountaineer rail adventure, Vancouver, Alaska, Denali, etc.  The highlight, hopefully, will be the seven days on the Silver Muse doing this key Alaska cruising.  Am following with strong interest for all of the tips, secrets and insights for sailing on the Muse. Any special favorite locations, tips, food stars, etc., regarding the Muse?  Is it still pretty much the same as we have done in recent years with the young singers doing the set shows with the recorded music, etc.?

Food visuals are looking good and tasty!!  You are making me hungry!!

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

The red glow is because they had turned the overhead heaters on.

Breakfast we have in the restaurant or our suite but basically the same.A plate of fruit followed by eggs. This day eggs Benedict.

The locals did a good job. They had a bus every 20 minutes going around the sights of Eden.It was a short bus trip.We alighted in Town and viewed some of the old buildings.

Interestingly over a hundred years ago there were people advocating for a new State based on Eden.

Not much here now and it doesn't seem much different to when I first saw it over 50 years ago.Good views from the main street though.

Finally got your pictures to show up on my computer.  I must compliment your perseverance in picture posting as I am having a heck of a time getting mine to upload.  Seems to take forever.

At any rate, it looks like you are having a great time. We did the same basic itinerary last year on Regent,so I am having fun looking back.

also laughing at your title for the thread.  You just don’t strike me as a muse kind of guy.

I now walked up a hill to get a pic of the Muse whilst mrsdrron looked around the few market stalls set up near our landing point.

The water is so clear.

image.png.bae8b21256746293e19bfb15d41845c4.png

One of the stalls had aboriginal art-but with labels "made in China".Really shouldn't be allowed.
Where our mussels for lunch are grown.

Well timed stop. They were predicting an afternoon thunderstorm and they may be correct.

The good burghers of Eden are building a cruise ship berth

Probably cheaper to get the owners of galleries, gift shops and eateries to open on cruise ship days. Now some did but quite a few remained closed as it was a Sunday.
The last tender coming back.

The pilot is back on board so time to set sail.

Oh my goodness, seeing the eggs Benedict reminds me one of my favorite things. Waking up in the morning on the Cloud and being served eggs Benedict done absolutely perfect. I could never figure out how they managed to do that. If not EB we would order Bagels and Lox. Such a treat every morning. I sure hope they still serve nice bold coffee.  I have been making Italian roast coffee ever since.

Your food photos are really helpful in deciding on what to eat. 7 days until we board in Auckland.

We heard the anchor coming up but we just drifted and it appeared we were heading for the rocks.

So some action from the bridge.

Now we were told Eden has the third deepest natural harbour in the world but it looked like we had been close to a sandbank.

image.png.9abbe396f7073ba907464a6c40ec152f.png

But finally headed towards the open sea

That night was the Captain's welcome cocktail party so a formal night. The officers ate with those that are on the :"Grand Voyage".This is the first sector and ends in Tokyo.
The old fella scrubs up all right.

image.png.6f72d33b2de5288a69a2e15b0ed915b9.png.

We ate in the Indochine restaurant. This is one of the things we don't like on the Muse.On the smaller Silversea ships when you go to the main dining room you are asked if you want to dine alone or join a bigger table. We usually opt for a bigger table and so meet a lot of other passengers. The first two nights here when we turned up just taken to a table for two.So we started asking and working about 50% of the time.In Atlantide and Indochine there seems to be a greater % of tables for 2 than the MDRs of the smaller ships.
So more food pics.Mrsdrron started off with a honey quail and I sashimi tuna.

image.png.08ac5cf31cfdba22f432a48b8e368916.png.image.png.6e3ba7b0cb43e88c519a6c535098565c.png.

Next is a seafood course.Only the steamed salmon came without spice so that is what mrsdrron had.I had a lobster tail and the supposed spice was missing.
