Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 17, 2019 Author #28 Share Posted February 17, 2019 Have a great day in Rio.. Great photos , looks like lots of room around the pool, plenty of sun loungers. Make the most of them now ....you wont to be using them as you round the Horn,

The weather was not too bad , it did not rain in till latter on in the afternoon, but then it cleared up till the evening then we had a really good thunderstorm and the rain poured down just before we left. "The last time we were in Rio..." (the only time ) it was overcast but quite spectacular at the statue of Christ . We rode the train up through the clouds joining the crowds standing at the base watching in awe as he appeared and disappeared among the clouds . Rare MicCanberra Posted February 20, 2019 #37 Share Posted February 20, 2019 It is a special place to visit, - looking across the valley just made me hungry due to that large sugar loaf.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 20, 2019 Author #38 Share Posted February 20, 2019 They are in Montevideo today as they leave the ship they will pass the anchor of the Graf Spee which is at the entrance to the port . The anchor is a memorial to the Battle of the River Plate,

Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 22, 2019 Author #42 Share Posted February 22, 2019 They have now sailed the relatively short distance up the river to Buenos Aires where they have 2 days and an overnight. Plenty of time to learn the Tango....
Rare MicCanberra Posted February 22, 2019 #43 Share Posted February 22, 2019 People complain about some of our ports, (ie Brisbane grain terminal), but it has nothing compared to BA's. It is nothing but containers for miles, and you need the shuttle from the terminal to the ship.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted February 22, 2019 Author #44 Share Posted February 22, 2019 Its a very tight port port for the big cruise ships ,This must have happened the day before they arrived. Thanks to some passengers (who did not have the correct paper work for BA), that MSC ship crashing in to each other! and a few other issues! I am currently writing a big post about this!, so hopefully I will get it up in the next few days!.
