DeSto Posted February 2, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Our cruise tour ends in Fairbanks in June. We have free airfare on Seattle on Southwest. What’s the best way to get from Fairbanks to Seattle?
Northern Aurora Posted February 2, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 2, 2019 As I suspect you know -- Southwest doesn't fly into Fairbanks. Alaska Airlines has a number of daily non-stop flights between Fairbanks and Seattle. If by "best" you mean cheapest, then either consider applying for an Alaska Airlines credit card and use their companion ticket. Alaska Airlines also codeshares with a number of other airlines, so, if you are lucky, you might have enough miles on another carrier for a free ticket.
1025cruise Posted February 2, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2019 Well, you could drive, but I think that would take another few days to drive through Canada. Plus I doubt that you can take a rental car on the Al-Can. Only realistic way is a one way flight from Fairbanks to Seattle.
CruiserBruce Posted February 3, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2019 The "best" way would be to get your rich friend to run their private jet up and pick you up.
Rare terrydtx Posted February 3, 2019 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2019 Our July cruise ends in Fairbanks and we are on an 8am Alaska Airlines flight to Seattle to connect with an American Airlines flight back to Dallas. Fairbanks is much more challenging to fly home from than Anchorage.
