Just a heads up for Kiwis for a Sunday night TV programme. Probably a repeat and probably on You Tube , but its showing tonight if any one is interested.

 

The Royal Princess returns for a busy summer in the Mediterranean. This time strong winds threaten to stop the ship from docking in Marseilles and Timothy deals with disgruntled passengers.

I thought it was , I recognised the chap from the Shore Tours desk from the previous series . It was an interesting insight into what happens when a port is cancelled and all the extra work the staff are put through ..

eg ...Its now a sea day tomorrow Chef, we want 4,000 more meals please.

Episode 2 tonight . It’s about prep for what they call the most expensive meal , so I presume it’s the Chefs Table Dinner .

Watched episode 3 this week . An excellent program  that gives a look  behind the scenes. Its just like the Ultimate tour in some ways.

The latest series on ITV is Majestic Princess' first NZ cruise last October/November.

The progamme is very clever marketing by Princess .  I have heard a couple of people remark that they did not realise they could get married on a cruise ship.

Legally the Captain cannot (Australian law) perform marriages on a ship but a marriage celebrant can. The Captain's ceremonies are for show only and are not binding.
