Walk to St Johns?

Cruising in for the day, can we walk to town from the port or need transportation? Is it worth heading into town? We’re doing different excursions in every port and might just need a day to ourselves.

St. John's is right by the pier, you can walk around the city.  Don't know how safe it would be the further you got away from the cruise port.  There is plenty of shopping near the pier.

The ships dock smack right up to the town.

Saint John's starts at the base of the pier!
