When I get home (I have been traveling for my friends’ wedding), I am returning the call I got following my email and seeing if there is a way to move my booking over to Edge. Or I’ll just cancel and go back to my reliable Disney Cruise Line and just deal with the stupidity of Marvel or Star Wars. You are clearly not going to be happy regardless of what anyone says so probably best.

Every one of your posts about the Equinox is negative, even though you have never been on it. For what it's worth, I wouldn't choose the Edge even if it were half the price of the Equinox....

Thanks so much for putting together and posting all the depictions, charts etc that give a synopsis of what to expect...I see good parts to S and M Class plans, and could be happy on either. Craft Social and Passport Bar on S Class look very nice Colors for Retreat lounge on M Class seem warmer...but so far we cannot book suites at current price levels anyhow. . We are booked on Summit post reno for a great itin from Bayonne, NJ...and, think Silhouette would be a good choice for 2021...after all the changed drydock dates are resolved, and feedback is available...
Jim_Iain #129 Posted May 18 More pictures of the Revolution. Paint job looks like it is progressing quickly. This is going to be a quick dry dock compared to the M-Class.
helen haywood #130 Posted May 18 Why would anyone put a dining table and chairs in the Passport Bar?!

I'm guessing it's the same big tables like they have in Cellar Masters. I've been to a number of events in Cellar Master and they used the tall tables for wine tasting and antipastos. I agree that they seem oversized and out of place.

I thought the same..I seem to recall that bar area was overflow seating when they had entertainment on the stairs and in the lobby area there...maybe I am confused??? Maybe there is a new idea for that area? Are they serving food there? Is it extra bar type space? Looks like we'll find out soon.
misterkevin #133 Posted May 19 Is there any way to confirm what might be completed after the dry dock in Cadiz? I'm wondering because the updated deck plan shows completion of the final revolutionizing of the ship in May 2020. Specifically, however, it doesn't show the Retreat on Deck 16 updated until the second dry dock.
CHEZMARYLOU #134 Posted May 19 The dates on Celebrity's web site for the deck plans have always been wrong. All current press releases and documents indicate the Retreat Sun Deck will be completed during this dry dock but will not have a hot tub.

They said the cruise was nice, but the stateroom did show that it was in need of new decor. However, they said the gastrobar was always empty. They also charge for burgers and other food options. We are sailing on the ship in August and may consider trying the venue for lunch. Guess it will be pretty empty!

People don’t like paying for food in general, any venue charging extra is never busy.
Cruise a holic #138 Posted May 19 (edited) So why have a venue that isn't making money? Seems like it could be used for something that might bring in revenue or additional public space that would interest cruisers. Edited May 19 by Cruise a holic
PTC DAWG #139 Posted May 19 21 hours ago, micheleata said: I was on the Equinox twice last year and it is a beautiful ship! You did not choose wrong, and I don't think you will be disappointed. I am probably in the minority, but I am glad that some of these changes are not being made. I would have liked the bathrooms to be upgraded in the rooms, but they were fine. Clean, spacious (for a cruise ship bathroom), lots of storage, and I love the enclosure instead of a curtain. The carpet showed some wear and tear, as did the balcony, but these are things that are being taken care of. As are new bedding and curtains. The dining room is beautiful, and I have seen posts that said chairs were ripped, but I saw nothing like that. I guess it could use new draperies, but still was in great shape. I am thrilled that the library is still going to be there, and that they are not going to ruin the beautiful sky lounge by putting in new suites. It is one of the best places to watch the arrival at a port, especially on a not so nice day weather wise. Silent disco was held in here, as well as the captains club party and there was plenty of room. I have seen an art auction in here also, and hate to see this made into a smaller room where everyone is crowded in. The views from this lounge are beautiful as well. I guess if you are in a suite and there is no hot tub being added to the retreat area, I could understand being upset. The casino is going to be updated, as well as some of the bars and the buffet.. IMO this ship did not need to be Revolutionized, but just refreshed, which is what is happening. I am booked again for October, and would have booked even if it had not been getting any updates. Well said, sailing Equinox 9-23...
CardRock #140 Posted May 19 Just heard on the Cruise Radio News Podcast that Silk Harvest is actually changing to Qsine, and Le Petite Chef is only going to be showing 2 nights on a 7 day cruise. That I had not heard before. Everything I had seen before had just been LPC. Makes much more sense to have folks do multiple nights in that location.

On my cruise planner for June 1st cruise, you can book LPC for any night of the seven. Will find out first hand in 13 days...

It has been quite awhile since we were on EQ...We liked the Gastro pub area during the day for quiet reading in comfy chairs, big windows. They had a limited menu...not too much we were interested in...and slow service at times. During sports event on TV, it was very popular and crowded...isn't this becoming Craft Social on S class including EQ? We would prefer Silk Harvest but at least Q sine is okay for a visit....not LPC fans
