NOLA port question - has anyone stayed at Comfort Inn Marrero - New Orleans West

And done park and cruise?

We are driving in the day before from New York.  We need a hotel and we need somewhere to park our van. 

 

Had originally thought to stay in Hattiesburg (cheaper) and then head down to port on cruise day.

Now I am looking at staying at Comfort Inn Marrero - New Orleans West where they would let us park for the cost of the hotel. 
The shuttle to the port says it is about 20 minute drive.

 

I'd love to hear any thoughts.

I’ve never stayed there cause I’m a local but I believe thats a good area. I’m over that way for work. Its right by the westbank expressway which leads straight into the city. 

 

Hattiesburg is so far. I’d want to be closer
