Port fee refund?

Hi,

My daughter and her friends on a P and O ship have just been informed they are missing Vila as there is a cyclone.

Other companies I have seen a refund for port fees and taxes related to the docking.

Do P and O do this? And if so, do they do that automatically?

Thanks

Thanks Sinbad,

I really feel for the locals missing out too, the cyclone actually changed course within 2 days and was fine in Vila but the decision was made already 2 days early.

The 2 days Isle of Pine promised didnt happen, (only 1 day) and they anchored at Mystery but said it was too dangerous for the tender boats in case they need them for lifeboats so raised anchor and took off! The weather was flat sea and calm wind.

So they had a slow extra long sea days home.

The cruise line would have saved a lot on fuel too but I can understand their caution. One of the reasons I won't book a SPacific cruise in Feb/March.
