Beach Escape Cosra Maya

We booked this last minute when we were on the Magic last January. Pulling up to the resort was unimpressive to say the least -- it looked a little sketchy. Once we were inside though, things changed. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The beach was absolutely gorgeous (lots of grassy areas, but they had dug out some pathways to deeper areas). Comfy loungers and big umbrellas were included. Our waiter was always around to bring drinks. I don't remember particularly what was available -- I just remember drinking tequila sunrises and hubs had beer. It was a very nice relaxing couple hours on the beach.

Skip the tours.  Maya Chan is awesome.  All inclusive resort that will pick you up, provide you your own palapa, feed you, all the drinks you want, paddle boards, floats, lounge chairs and ride back.  They also have massages for a cost.  The people are great  and the food cooked fresh right in front of you.

Awesome day !!!

Beach Escape is at the beach club between Blue kay and Tequila Beach( first tram stop). Used by several cruise lines so could get crowded when more than 1 or 2 ships are in port.

Maya Chan is an All Inclusive that is south of the malecon in Mahahual and you need a taxi to get there. They do limit the # of people there and reservations tend to fill up quickly.  You need to book via their website. http://costamayabeachresort.com/   Not something you can book once on the ship or through Carnival.
