Formal nights

I'm sailing on Star Princess this month. Is a suit jacket mandatory on formal nights in the dining room or can you pass with shirt, dress pants and tie?

Princess webpage states:

Formal
When formal nights are held, please observe the dress code in the Traditional Dining and Anytime Dining venues for the enjoyment of all our guests.

• Evening gowns and cocktail dresses for women
• Tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits with a tie for men

Their website also states "or, at the very least, a shirt, tie and slacks" for formal nights. So as you can see a jacket is not a "requirement" on Princess any longer.

floridalover; it's there but  ya have to look long and hard to find that info. I think the Princess wants it that way, for the convenience of the hot under the collar cruisers.
