Two quick Princess Questions

Hello I sail tomorrow 16 Feb on Caribbean Princess.  

1.  Does Princess have irons to lend out for passengers 

2.  What time can we show up at port to check in for the cruise?

Irons are in laundry rooms . You should have been given a check-in time.

No irons to lend out for use in the staterooms.  There are laundry rooms onboard with ironing boards and irons.

I was given a 1:30 check in time. We just to get on board early so we can book specialty venues and such. Thanks. Thank you for the iron info.

Irons are prohibited for passengers/staterooms.

Use the ones provided in the self serve laundry rooms.

They are tethered/directly wired in and cannot be removed.

No Problem:  Irons/ironing boards are free for your use IN the laundry rooms.

In terms of check in, the terminal will generally be open by 10:30 or 11:00.  Check in typically starts at 11:00.  Boarding a bit later, always before 12:00 in my experience.

 

Boarding is in groups.  First those who need assistance.  Followed by Full Suites.  Followed by Elites.  Then Platinum's.  Then others generally in the order they checked in.  The terminal is generally clear by something around 2:00.  Some intentionally arrive after to minimize their wait (I sometimes think they are the smartest ones).

 

What I'm saying is, if you're a relatively new Princess cruiser you can be in for quite a wait if you arrive early.  Still, I'm always eager to board and generally arrived before noon even with low or no status - so I get it.

Yesterday CB had a computer glitch so no one could get onboard early. They started boarding around 12:15.  We departed FLL and hour and half late.  4pm turned into 5:30pm. No biggie today is a sea day
