144 hour TWOV for Cruise ending in Shanghai

Please can anyone help with our query re the 144 hour TWOV for our cruise in May 2019 on RCI Spectrum of the Seas. We are a group of 4 flying from UK to Singapore where we pick up Spectrum of the Seas. Ports of call are Vietnam, Hong Kong and then disembark in Shanghai where we are staying for 2 nights before flying back to the UK on a connecting flight via Qatar. We believe that we meet the criteria for the 144 hour TWOV however after a very frustrating few weeks being passed from pillar to post, between our travel agents, Visa central and RCI absolutely no one will give us confirmation (either written or verbal) that we will be able to board either the flight or the ship without the full Chinese Visa. Has anyone on a similar itinerary any advice ? We believe that we simply need proof of our onward booking travel arrangements for Shanghai and confirmation of our flight back to the UK, but need to know for the hotel accommodation does this need to have individuals name details or would the lead passenger name for our booking suffice? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to cruise critic.  You have posted in the forum for people having problems using the forums.  A more appropriate place would be the Asia board under Ports of Call, and on the Roll Call for your cruise, where you could find out what your fellow cruisers are doing.  EM
