I’m a little nervous about my car. My change oil soon alert came on last night. I have 6% left. I know nobody is going to be open on Sunday. I’ve been calling around. The two dealerships here are booked but Texas city has been having no shows so that’s where I’m about to head. Where to I put my money then? Not in the car. In the room? It’s a fat stack for my pocket. I guess backpack and keep it with me.

I still remember the Cruise Critic post about a couple who arrived a day early and rented a car for sightseeing.  They left a tote bag with their passports in the car, it was stolen, and they could not cruise.  So just don't ever let the backpack out of your sight.

I ran into another little snag. At my dealership I pay extra for an oil stabilizer. As long as I put that same brand and type in each change, it’s like an extra warranty from that company. This dealership doesn’t carry it. So they’re sending someone out to get my oil stabilizer from another place. Very helpful service department here at DeMontrond.

If you get time, I highly recommend going to the Kema Boardwalk! You're not far. There are all kinds of great restaurants and entertainment there. Kind of pricey but we really enjoy it. When we lived in Houston, we always drove down there when relatives came to visit...

Welcome to Texas and yes Buc-ee's is a must!  When we stayed in Ft. Lauderdale in Jan they didn't have safes in the room and we had to use a lock box at the front desk.  Felt a little uneasy with it but worked out fine.  When we got home from that cruise my husband bought a cross body bag he can keep on him with the money in it if needed or I put it in my purse with the passports.  Will see how it works out when we board the Vista on March 3rd.  If you visit the casino let us know what machines are good!!

I don’t play slots but if I see or hear anything good about some, I’ll let you know.
