Ru2on Posted February 20, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2019 So just not sure how this works. I am cruising on Golden Princess and bought $67.50 worth of credit, It is showing as $50.00 U.S. The cruise in only travelling in Australia. I have read everything is charged in Aussie $. Is it worth buying OBC, I think I am having serious blonde moments 😳 as i cant get my head around if i am duping myself or ?? Does it just get converted back at the same rate if everything on board is in Aussie $?. 🤨
possum52 Posted February 20, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2019 I think it must be a glitch in their computer system as we purchased OBC a few months ago and it was paid in AUD (on the Golden) and and was entered as AUD. You are correct all payments for ships sailing in Australia are in AUD. I would call Princess and ask what is going on. Leigh
SinbadThePorter Posted February 20, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2019 Princess Australia has always had trouble with items pre-purchased from their website. I would never trust their computer to get it right.
Rare MicCanberra Posted February 21, 2019 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2019 Another example of cruise lines stuffing up currency conversions despite it not even being required for this particular cruise.
