Nearest Streetcar Stop to Embassy Suites Convention Ctr

We are wondering where the nearest streetcar stop will be from Embassy Suites, since Julia St. and Poydras St. stops are closed due to construction.

We will stay 2 nights before a cruise, and we will want to take public transportation to the French Quarter and other areas from near the port.

It is a fairly easy walk to the French Quarter from Embassy Suites.

 

You are also within walking distance of the Canal Street and St. Charles Avenue streetcar lines.

It would be about a 4 block walk to st. charles street...6 blocks to canal street.
