Just received an email from Windstar saying:

“Hello Mrs Kenworthy,

We have found a pair of red Tom’s shoes found in your cabin after your last cruise on the Wind Spirit. We are looking to return it’s owner. If this is yours we can offer to ship it back to you.

Kind regards”

 

I’m impressed. Our last cruise was on Wind Spirit and disembarked in December. Don’t  know if they will be worth the cost of shipping them back but wow. In 30 years of cruising and forgetting things here and there don’t think I’ve ever been offered a return before. I hadn’t even had an opportunity to notice I was missing them. Maybe I’m too easily impressed but thought this was pretty nice. The shoes are probably in lost and found on Wind Spirit, and I wish that I was still in them.

My little red shoes came today- priority mail from Windstar Seattle. Really makes me want to book another cruise and leave more shoes behind. So thoughtful of the crew and the Seattle staff. Again- have left stuff behind in hotels and cruises but never saw the items again until this. Thanks WS!
